Fenner School photography competition 20229 Dec 2022 - The Australian National University
The theme for this year's competition was "listen". Microbats ‘see’ with sound; using echolocation to map the world around them. Despite having ultrasonic voices, even our ears can hear the faint clicking of a hungry Gould’s wattled bat! We rehabilitated little ‘Sultana’ for release after the winter chill. My image of this Gould's wattled bat earned the People's Choice Award. |
